[W]e’ve got the leader of Turning Point USA [Charlie Kirk] suggesting the leader of Israel knowingly allowed mass murder and two of his employees promoting anti-Semites.

Too much of the Conservative Movement is too entangled together in business and financial relationships to speak up.

But someone has to. This is bad and wrong, and either a course correction needs to happen, or donors need to stop funding anti-Israel anti-Semites on the right.

The leaders of this movement are not political activists but social media “influencers” who have constructed a narrative based not on a left-wing, oppressor/oppressed framework, but on a diffused, right-coded conspiracy theory. Jews, in these influencers’ telling, have taken control of American media, flooded society with pornography, and organized sex-related blackmail rings to secure support for Israel…

The Right should reject them and their merchants, just as it rejected Sharpton a generation ago.

If I pick up my phone and send out a tweet, if I say good morning, within minutes, I will have hundreds of blatantly antisemitic responses…I am telling you, this is real. It is organic. These are real human beings and it is spreading. In the last year, we had three prominent voices on the right, publicly muse: Gosh, maybe Hitler wasn't that bad a guy after all...

[T]his poison of antisemitism on the right, it is spreading with young people. It is gaining traction.

I’m going to say it.

The GOP has a Nazi problem.

And the more we pretend like we don’t, the worse it’s going to get.

We do. Don’t tell me we don’t.

Do we really want to be part of what we’ve seen happen on college campuses, for instance, in this country in the last two or three years? Conservatives have been decrying that. Are we now to believe that, oh, actually, we have no problem with that? And that all of the things they were saying about Jews and Jewish Americans, that was fine?

Your initial remarks were indefensible. Your apology was underwhelming. And the lack of any meaningful followup over the past three months has been telling. For reasons only you know, you aligned the Heritage Foundation with the rising tide of antisemitism on the right.

I have been pretty amazed by the depth of the slander of Jews as a people that there has been online in the last year in a half. The left is long gone down a rabbit hole of hating Jews. I didn't think it would happen on the right.

[I don’t understand the impulse to] allow it to be a big tent and allow antisemitism in our party. If there are [antisemites] that are there, we should call it out and say that’s wrong. What I’ve tried to be very clear on is [that] the ‘New Right’ is now quoting an old wrong. It’s wrong.

There's a part of the right…[that sees] Jews as a sort of conspiratorial force in the United States…[and] tries to claim that that all the problems in America are of the responsibility of of a foreign state or Judaism as a religion. That's a conspiratorial force inside the right that's I think extremely dark and it is rising because of social media.

For some time now, I’ve been hearing from conservative friends who teach in high schools and universities that antisemitism and white nationalism are on the rise among their white male students. More recently, conservatives in Washington, D.C., have been saying to me that the influence of neo-Nazi Holocaust-denying livestreamer Nick Fuentes has taken off among Gen Z congressional and administration staffers. One older insider put the number of Fuentes fans and fellow travelers, so-called Groypers, in these Washington circles at “30 to 40 percent.”

I consider Tucker a friend, and though I have been disturbed by the anti-Jewish turn his rhetoric has taken, I had not been aware of how extensive his anti-Jewish commentary had been…

I’m telling you, this really is history repeating itself. Older people don’t want to speak out, afraid of the mob, or afraid of alienating their kids, or thinking that they can co-opt the youthful energy for the movement while taking the poison out of its sting, and so forth…

Many of us on the Right have wondered for years why decent liberals in authority kept their mouths shut about the left-wing anti-white bigots. And then the crazies took over the party. It’s happening to the Right now. I don’t know where this is going, but it’s nowhere good — and it’s getting there with accelerating speed.

[Andrew Hale, a trade policy analyst formerly at The Heritage Foundation] told me that he was willing to debate policy; what he wasn’t willing to do was “sit here and discuss whether the Holocaust happened or not.” Discussions among new hires frequently echoed arguments promoted by Fuentes, Carlson and the podcaster Candace Owens that shed doubt on the historical consensus around the Holocaust or the origin of the state of Israel. Hale described a conversation with one new hire who claimed that the publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell… had paid for the rights to all the history textbooks used in public schools in the United States, and that everything in them about the Holocaust was a lie.

[S]ome GOP veterans fret about the rising generation of young staffers in their party…[including] a tolerance for darker ideologies…

Conversations with four senior Republican congressional staffers, as well as think tank scholars, Heritage expats, academics who study think tanks and up-and-coming young Republicans reflected a widening generational split…

Of specific concern are those labeled groypers...The first Hill aide interviewed for this article said that at least 50 percent of GOP congressional staff was groyper or groyper-adjacent.

When I asked an Administration official about Dreher's estimate, he told me that, in terms of staffers who would come off to most people as Groypers - "very radical, very extreme Zoomers" - it was actually closer to seventy-five percent.
